Honda Passport Reliability 

With 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque from the highly capable 3.5L V6 engine under the hood, your Honda Passport will be unstoppable. This power is coupled with a smooth and responsive 9-speed automatic transmission, and paddle shifters come standard, offering more control at your fingertips.

All of this comes with an EPA-estimated 19 city/24 highway MPG* when you choose an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD). Meanwhile, 2-wheel-drive (2WD) models offer more fuel efficiency, with an EPA-estimated 20 city/25 highway MPG* rating.

The Idle-Stop feature—standard on all Passport models—allows you to save more fuel when you’re at a red light. When the vehicle is stopped, the engine will turn off, then seamlessly restart as soon as you take your foot off the brake.

All-Terrain Specs

While the 2019 Honda Passport comes standard with 2WD, it also gives you the option to upgrade to an AWD system. Either way, you’ll get Intelligent Traction Management to maximize performance across a variety of road surfaces. In 2WD models, this feature includes two modes: Normal and Snow; AWD models add Mud and Sand options as well.

This system works alongside an Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ (i-VTM4®) system in AWD models, which directs traction to the wheels that need it most. While this enables you to move easily across any terrain, a fully independent suspension improves handling on both smooth and bumpy roads as well.

You can find over 40 inches of headroom and over 60 inches of shoulder room in both the front and rear seats, not to mention an impressive total passenger volume of up to 115.9 cubic feet.

Whether you’re going camping for the weekend or taking the family on a day trip to the lake, there’s plenty of room for all your luggage. Behind the rear seats, you’ll find 41.2 cubic feet of cargo space, which increases to 77.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

Those numbers don’t even account for the floor space between seating rows! When you add that in and put the seats in their most-forward and -upright positions, there’s over 100 cubic feet of cargo volume available. Plus, hidden storage space below the floor panel in the rear cargo area offers extra compartments for your gear alongside the compact spare tire.
