2020 Civic Engine Specs

There’s a lot to like when you open the hood of the Honda Civic. It gives you two different engines, each of which delivers an impressive power output:

• 2.0L I-4: 158 horsepower
• 1.5L turbo I-4: 174 horsepower

As you can see, the standard 2.0L I-4 engine offers both power and drivability, while the 1.5L turbo I-4 provides an extra kick of power for the thrillseekers.

The standard engine can come with a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The turbocharged engine comes standard with the CVT and really balances power and fuel efficiency.

In fact, with the 1.5L turbo I-4 paired with the CVT, the 2020 Civic gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 32 MPG city and 42 MPG highway with the EX and EX-L trim levels.¹

With its 12.39-gallon fuel tank capacity, this powertrain configuration can really help you go far between fill-ups.

Interior Specs

Inside the cabin of the 2020 Honda Civic, there’s plenty of space for everything and everyone you want to bring along for the ride.

It features a total passenger volume of 97.8 cubic feet and has enough seats for five people, including the driver. This passenger volume encompasses the following headroom and legroom dimensions:

• Headroom (front/rear): 39.3/37.1 inches
• Legroom (front/rear): 42.3/37.4 inches

You also have a sizeable cargo space, with a 15.1-cubic-foot trunk. You can expand this space, too, in certain trim levels. Simply fold down the rear seats and extend the trunk into the cabin. This is ideal for carrying longer items like skis and hockey sticks.

It also offers quite a bit of fun with its available 7-inch touchscreen display in the center stack. This works with available Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone integration to help you play music, make phone calls, or listen to audio books while on-the-go.

One of our favorite features from the 2020 Civic is the standard smart safety suite. This Honda Sensing® suite comes complete with the following systems:
