2021 Honda Civic Body Styles

2021 Honda Civic Body Styles

The Honda Civic is more than just a car—it’s a family of body styles. You may have noticed two 2021 Honda Civic body styles to choose from: hatchback and sedan. So, which one should you pick for your Bloomington, Ellettsville, and Bedford, IN, drives?

It’s mostly a matter of personal preference, but there are a few differences you may want to be aware of before deciding. Andy Mohr Honda has put them together for you in this Honda Civic hatchback vs. sedan comparison.

Honda Civic Exterior Design

The most notable difference between the Honda Civic body styles is their exterior design. The sedan offers a fastback design that features a rearward-sloping roof. Plus, the sedan has four doors. Alternatively, the Honda Civic Hatchback replaces the trunk with a fifth door that opens to a spacious rear cargo area.

The Civic Sedan offers sophisticated lines extending from the front grille. The hatchback, though, provides a sportier stance, with black mesh fascia underlining its aggressive front end and angular lines.

Around the back, each 2021 Civic features signature C-shaped taillights. In the hatchback, this top-line arches into a spoiler-like accent that bisects the rear window.

The available colors vary depending on body style, too. All three options offer colors like Crystal Black Pearl, Aegean Blue Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, and Rallye Red. If you want to stand out on the road, look for the sedan in Molten Lava Pearl.

When you step into a Honda Civic, you are greeted with a clean and comfortable design that can withstand any journey.

Additionally, both body styles offer 60/40 split fold-down rear seats, so you can fit more cargo in your vehicle. Both body styles offer leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel for a more premium feel, providing a luxurious experience as you drive.

If you’re enduring the cold, the Civic sedan and hatchback both offer heated seats. This way, you can stay warm as you cruise down the road.

Who doesn’t love a good view? Both body styles offer a moonroof on the EX trim, allowing you to get a glimpse at the stars while you head out on your next adventure.

The Civic sedan offers cutting-edge technology that is present on both the sedan and hatchback. For starters, the available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integrations allow you to pair your smartphone to make calls, answer texts, and listen to your favorite tunes without taking your hands off the wheel.

Additionally, both body styles offer an immersive 7-inch Display Audio with High-Resolution Electrostatic Touch Screen. With this display, you can customize your features, like seeing information about your Civic.

Want to jam out to your favorite tunes? The Civic makes it easy to get lost in fantastic sound. With the standard 180-Watt Audio system with eight speakers, you can blast your music and sing along with a crisp audio experience.

If you want an even more enhanced audio experience, the available 540-watt Premium Audio System with 12 speakers and Subwoofer can add a thrilling sound experience to your drive.

So, which Honda Civic body style should you choose? The answer depends on what you’re looking for in a car. You can’t go wrong with either option, though, there may be a particular body style that works better for your needs.

The sedan is a classic choice that offers ample space for you and your passengers. However, if you are looking for a more thrilling ride, the bold hatchback provides a little more athleticism and cargo volume.
